Careful attention to detail and scale characterize the carpentry projects. For example, by utilizing planking lengths of sufficient size, the use of butt joints in decks can be eliminated. Likewise, lighting wires and switches can be routered into deck posts to hide them from view, which results in a much cleaner look. Railings are designed to either reveal or conceal the views.
