The owners of this property do a lot of entertaining, and desired easy access to the large terraces, especially from the upper level of the home. A new stream and pond were added adjacent to the stairs to make the journey to the garden more scenic and interesting. In the area beyond the terraces, existing native vegetation was cultivated to encourage growth right up to the recent construction, blurring the distinction between new and old. A lower terrace was added for the swimming pool to separate it from the main entertaining and kitchen terraces. Click on the images below for larger versions. |
